Who we are . . .         

Artists Bill and Marnie Brehm work from En Plein Aire Studios located in the heart of southwest Ontario. Bill received his Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and Architecture at Lawrence University in Wisconsin. When he retired from a career in government and planning, Bill settled in Ontario and obtained his Canadian citizenship. He studied with watercolourist Tom Detrich. Marnie is a Chartered Accountant based in Burlington, Ontario. Both Bill and Marnie have studied with watercolourist Tom Lynch and greatly admire his work. The Brehms have travelled widely and their work reflects a wide range of colours and subject matter.

Marnie and Bill specialize in landscapes, working en plein air, and are members of the International Plein Air Painters Association. Bill is particularly interested in coastal scenes and urban landscapes.  Marnie seeks tranquil scenes and often includes water reflections in her  work.

Their works have been shown at Riversong Gallery in Neustadt,   the Durham Art Gallery, Arts Hamilton Gallery, and Earl's Court Gallery in Ontario, as well as Wristen Art Centre and AGA Gallery in Wisconsin.
